We understand that finding the right psychologist is a very important step when seeking help. Research shows that the quality of the relationship between the therapist and client is as important in getting positive results as the treatment model used by the therapist. Our client centered approach aims to form a respectful, collaborative and non-judgemental relationship where issues can be explored and worked on in a safe and compassionate space.
The first session normally starts with a conversation regarding the issues the client would like to receive support for, after which a plan is formulated to specifically address the needs of the client. The number of sessions needed varies depending on the individual circumstances of each client. Both face-to-face and Telehealth appointments are available. Medicare rebates are available for up to 10 sessions per calendar year, and for many people this is a sufficient number of sessions to achieve their treatment goals.
